On October 3rd, 2009 the Clackamas River Water Providers held a tour of the Upper Clackamas Watershed for elected officials from CRWP agencies and for citizens in CPO's and Neighborhood Associations in the CRWP service area. The purpose of this tour was to connect our citizens with the watershed where their drinking water comes from and introduce them to some of the CRWP partners and stakeholders in the watershed. A total of 40 people participated in the tour.
The tour focused on the Upper Clackamas Watershed and included presentations by the US Forest Service and Portland General Electric on watershed and water quality issues, management practices, and habitat restoration projects. There was also a presentation by David Graves regarding climate change in the Clackamas Basin. The tour included stops at the Estacada Ranger station, Alder Flats, and Timothy Lake.
