Each year the Clackamas River Water Providers hold a coloring contest with local elementary schools in our service area to create our annual Water Conservation Calendar. This year we had 18 classes at nine different schools participate in the contest with almost 500 entries for our 2011 Calendar.  Each school that participated in the contest will received 200 calendars next fall to give away to students and families or to use as school fundraisers.

As our communities grow, saving water is one of the most effective ways to make the best use of our existing water resources and help protect the environment. The winners that will be featured in the 2011 calendar as well as the tips found in the calendar will help you identify simple and easy things you can do to reduce your water use at home.
